Netflix adds 30 new movies and shows today: June 1, 2021

June is here! We made it! While it might not be the official start of summer, June always feels like we officially made it through winter and spring and can actually look forward to warmer weather. But besides a much-needed trip to the beach, this month also brings a bunch of new movies and shows to Netflix on June 1, 2021.

Whether you’re looking for a very popular period drama series, a couple of seasons of a network rom-com show, or a thriller or three, Netflix has you covered.

Downton Abbey is back on Netflix! The series first left in February  2013, and it seemed like it was going to stay that way, but no! It’s back on Netflix starting June 1. How many seasons or which seasons will be available is unknown, but it’s likely to be at least the first season or two.

With the way PBS series have pretty much all left Netflix, it’s interesting to see this one come back. If you’re looking for the Downton Abbey movie, that is still on HBO Max.

In the mood for a more modern series? All three seasons of ABC’s Happy Endings are also coming to Netflix on June 1. The series starred Eliza Coupe, Elisha Cuthbert, Zachary Knighton, Adam Pally, Damon Wayans Jr., and Casey Wilson and followed the lives of six young adults trying to figure out how to actually be adults while dealing with friendships and love.

Looking for something to keep you on the end of your seat? Netflix has a ton of thrillers coming to its lineup on June 1. Everything from Abduction with Taylor Lautner to Cradle 2 the Grave with Jet Li and The Wedding Guest with Dev Patel. You can also check out Ninja Assassin, Sniper: Legacy, and Welcome Home. If you want a thriller movie marathon, Netflix is where it’s at.
