After what felt like an eternity, Lucifer season 5 part 2 is finally streaming on Netflix. And the back half of the season exceeds all of our expectations. Lucifer season 5 will go down as the most emotional and impactful season, one only a final season has the potential to beat.

So many things could have gone wrong for Lucifer season  5 part 2. For starters, there’s the pandemic, which forced production to shut down. But there’s also the series surprising season 6 renewal. At one point, we didn’t even know what the future of the Netflix hit series would be.

One thing’s for sure, we knew it’d be greatness. It’s always a big relief when the cast and crew know their final season is coming. This allows the team to work on giving the characters an outstanding, deserving finale. That said, we were excited and eager to see where these stories were headed.

However, the season 6 renewal came out of nowhere. Rewriting had to be done, new episodes were added, short storylines inserted. This scared me, if I’m being honest. Would it hurt Deckerstar? Will the new stories make sense? Will Lucifer drag events out just to meet six seasons? I really should have trusted the Lucifer team, because what they have delivered far exceeded what I was expecting.

Does Lucifer season 5 part 2 worth it?

Lucifer season 5  part 2 is a gut-punch of emotions that is definitely worth the binge-watch. It gives Lucifans all the feels and more, and the clever writing is present throughout. In fact, I’d say you watch it twice in case you missed anything.

Warning: Episode 15 will crush your soul. You’ll be wanting to rewatch the season just to see if you catch any moments or hints that warned you about what was ahead.

The waterworks don’t stop after episode 15, either! They begin way before episode 15 and continue all the way to the finale.

New characters are introduced, most of which are Amenadiel and Lucifer’s siblings. Love them or hate them, they’re each very interesting and so fun to watch.

The fun one-liners are there, mostly from Tom Ellis, there are sweet moments with Ella, Deckerstar, Dan, Trixie, and Maze. Speaking of Maze, if her finding love and happiness was on your wish list for Part 2, watch closely!

God does hang around longer than you may have imagined, and for a minute it may seem as if the  Deckerstar storyline is taking a back seat, but be patient!  Be patient and pay close attention. Deckerstar is present in every scene.

The finale is less of a cliffhanger than Lucifer season 5 part 1 was, but it feels just as huge (if not bigger) because it’s a significant game-changer.

Lucifer season 5 part 2 continues to feature everything we love about Lucifer, focusing on character growth and keeping us on our toes.

Next. Lucifer season 6 not coming to Netflix in June 2021. dark
