Wish Dragon and 6 kids shows coming to Netflix in June 2021

Summer is fast approaching and the season of the blockbuster is almost upon us, which means high-octane action dramas like Gunpowder Milkshake will be coming to Netflix soon along with horrors like the Fear Street trilogy. This is all well and good for adults, teenagers, and pint-sized genre fans who have long disrespected ratings, but what about the kiddos who simply want some bam, smack, pow a little closer to their age group? What kids shows and movies does Netflix have coming their way?

Well, June’s offerings for children on the platform are heavy on the TV side of things with six kids shows coming to the streamer and one movie called Wish Dragon. So, they’ll be able to tuck into more than one extended adventure for the month. This includes a few educational programs, some classic Sonic and Power Rangers action, and a little hero who’s part of a super-powered family.

We should also mention there’s a musical episode of Super Monsters that’s likely to have repeat value for your kids. Fair warning, it’s nursery rhyme and fairytale-themed. Be prepared to talk about Lil Bo Peep and her sheep as well as the gasp-worthy revelation that the dish ran away with the spoon.

But, if you’re looking for a selection that the whole family can enjoy, then the animated movie Wish Dragon is what you want to be popping your popcorn for and settling in with your kids for a nice time. The fantasy comedy takes place in Shanghai and, like the title says, includes a dragon and wish-granting. Two top-tier elements in a kids’ fantasy.
