365 Days 3 release date updates: Will there be a third 365 Days movie? When is it coming out?

Netflix seems to have found its answer to the 50 Shades of Grey franchise and is doubling down on the success of its breakout 2020 hit 365 Days. 

While the film stirred up a bit of controversy due to its subject matter, viewers quickly took to the film which ranked strongly within the Top 10 across not only in the US but across the globe. Following the success of the first film, viewers have been eager to know whether Netflix would continue the franchise which is based on a trilogy of books by author Blanka Lipinska.

Below, we shared everything we know about 365 Days 3 and its release date on Netflix.

How many 365 Days movies are there?

Currently, there is only one 365 Days movie available to watch on Netflix; however, Netflix has is currently developing two sequel films meaning the franchise will eventually consist of at least three films.

Will there be a 365 Days 3?

Not only has Netflix confirmed 365 Days 2 is in development, but the streaming powerhouse has announced that a third film in the franchise will be coming as well. That’s right, Netflix has already confirmed 365 Days 3 is happening with the current plan being to film the two sequels back-to-back.

What happens in the third 365 Days book?

The third book in the 365 Days franchise is titled Kolejne 365 dni which translates to Another 365 Days and seems to be quite the conclusion to the epic story told across Blanka Lipinska’s book trilogy.

So what exactly happens in the third book in the trilogy? Here is how Amazon describes the Polish edition of Kolejne 365 dni (Another 365 Days):

365 Days 3 release date

At this time is it not yet known when Netflix will release 365 Days 3, but it is not anticipated that the third film will arrive in 2021 or 2022. Instead, it is expected the third film in the 365 Days franchise will debut sometime in 2023.

When is 365 Days 3 on Netflix?

365 Days debuted in June 2020 on Netflix US following its original release in Poland in February 2020. The delay in the film’s international release stemmed from the movie being a Netflix acquisition rather than a Netflix Original which led to the film’s delayed global release.

The good news is that, following the success of the first film, the upcoming sequel films will be made in-house at Netflix. This move will allow Netflix to not only have more creative control over the films but will also allow the service to avoid any delays between when the films drop on Netflix US. So when exactly will 365 Days 3 arrive on Netflix?

It has been confirmed Netflix will film both 365 Days 2 and 365 Days 3 back-to-back which should help to streamline their releases. At this time, it is unknown when filming will begin but it seems likely production will kick off sometime in 2021.

Should Netflix complete filming of the two sequels in 2021, we anticipate 365 Days 2 will arrive sometime in 2022 setting the stage for the third film in the franchise to debut sometime in 2023.
