What is Army of the Dead about?

May 2021 on Netflix looks like it’s going to be an epic month as the streaming platform rolls out plenty of new series and films that we absolutely cannot wait to sink our teeth into. Among the many movies debuting on Netflix this month is a highly-anticipated film called Army of the Dead. 

The film was first announced way back in 2007, but the creation of the film just couldn’t come to be as it was missing some key elements including a filmmaker. However, Man of Steel filmmaker Zack Snyder came to the rescue fourteen years later and is surely going to make the wait worthwhile.

What is Army of the Dead about?

Army of the Dead is an apocalyptic film about a group of heisters that come together to pull off the biggest robbery its zombie-ridden world has ever seen. This film takes brain-eating creatures to a whole new level as these zombies are fast, resourceful, and intelligent and will stop at nothing to devour these money-hungry humans.

Will a life-changing fortune be in the cards for this group or will they be zombie fodder? More on the official synopsis for the upcoming Netflix movie down below, via Netflix:

"After a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries takes the ultimate gamble by venturing into the quarantine zone for the greatest heist ever."

The group of mercenaries will feature an amazing lineup of talented actors and actresses who you definitely will be excited to see.

The leading cast of Army of the Dead includes Omari Hardwick as Vanderhoe, Huma Qureshi as Geeta, Tig Notaro as Marianne Peters, Ana de la Reguera as Cruz, Theo Rossi as Burt, Ella Purnell as Kate Ward, and Guardians of the Galaxy actor Dave Bautista as Scott Ward.
