Things Heard & Seen is now streaming on Netflix. Will the horror movie be getting a sequel? Here’s what we know about Things Heard & Seen 2.

Please note there are spoilers ahead if you’ve yet to watch Things Heard & Seen, the new Netflix movie starring Amanda Seyfried and James Norton.

The movie is categorized as a horror thriller, but there are very few scares and even fewer thrills. Needless to say, this movie is not for everyone. It’s a slow burn not many will appreciate. Those who did enjoy the film, however, may be wondering about a potential sequel.

Once again, spoiler alert! Watch the movie before reading on.

The final moments of Things Heard & Seen wrapped up events pretty nicely. It’s unfortunate that George (Norton) killed his wife Catherine (Seyfried), but, at the very least, he didn’t get away with it.

The police may not have caught up with George, but, as we hear the spirit of Ella and Catherine chant, George was damned either way.

It’s no question George will die in the ocean and Catherine’s spirit will peacefully move on, but here’s why many believe the story has the potential to continue.

Is there going to be a Things Heard & Seen 2?

The movie suggests that the world of the spirits is not in Heaven or Hell. Instead, it stands between the two. This is an interesting theory that horror and mystery fans alike would love to continue exploring.

Catherine may be dead, but a sequel could follow another family. Not in the same house, but a completely new story based on this same idea.

If this does happen, though, I hope Netflix takes note and increases the scares and thrills for Things Heard & Seen 2, because the first movie lacks both.

What did you think of the movie? Would you like to see a sequel based on this premise or do you believe one is good enough?
