When is Bridgerton season 3 coming to Netflix?

Bridgerton is one of the most-watched shows Netflix has to offer, and even though the highly anticipated second season premieres March 25, fans of the streaming service original series from TV powerhouse Shonda Rhimes are already eager to know when Bridgerton season 3 will be available for subscribers to enjoy.

The story set in Regency-era England showcases wealth, lust, and betrayal through the eyes of the powerful Bridgerton family, and the result is one of the most successful Netflix original series in recent memory. After the first outing completed its successful run, fans already wanted more installments, and in January 2021, they got their wish with the announcement Bridgerton season 2 was on the way.

Bridgerton stars Phoebe Dynevor, Jonathan Bailey, Harriet Cains, Bessie Carter, Nicola Coughlan, and more in what has to be considered by many to be the streaming network’s best. Fans were understandably upset at the news that Regé-Jean Page would not return in the sequel season. Despite the lack of Duke in further sets of episodes will have, subscribers will definitely not want to miss what’s in store when the series returns for Bridgerton season 3 and season 4.

But it would appear that the streaming powerhouse feels very confident in the show’s ability to stay at the top for the foreseeable future, as it decided to renew the series for two more seasons (with the promise of even more potential seasons, too). In April 2021, showrunner Chris Van Dusen revealed that Bridgerton season 3 and season 4 were officially happening.

When is Bridgerton season 3 coming out?

Since Bridgerton season 2 only just made its premiere, we will be waiting for some concrete release date news for Bridgerton season 3, and it may be a while before fans get any clarity on when they can mark their calendar the next season. But it isn’t hard to make an educated guess as to when fans will see new entries.

The show first arrived as a wonderful Christmas gift, premiering on Dec. 25, 2020. Due to the pandemic, the second season was delayed, but ultimately made its long awaited premiere on March 25, 2022. We don’t anticipate as long of a gap between season 2 and 3, though.

Considering season 3 and 4 are already on the agenda, there’s a good chance these chapters could go into production sooner rather than later. Bridgerton season could easily show up on the streaming service in early 2023, with season 4 possibly arriving as soon as late 2023 or early 2024.

Of course, rumored release dates depend on when cameras start rolling. Nicola Coughlan recently stated that Bridgerton season 3 could start filming in summer 2022, which would put the series on track for an early 2023 release. No matter when season 3 releases, it’ll be a huge hit!
