Of all the streaming networks, Netflix is mentioned most often as a potential home when TV shows get canceled. There are always canceled shows Netflix needs to save, according to the fans.

Honestly, it makes sense, too. Netflix has saved some incredible shows and give them new life after they were canceled, including Lucifer, Longmire, and more. Netflix is also credited with boosting ratings and making sure they get renewed for new seasons, including Breaking Bad, Riverdale, and more.

The Netflix effect is real. When shows land on the streaming service, potentially millions of fans are discovering the show for the first time. It’s a great way to get more eyes on a TV show or movie.

So, we put together a list of canceled shows Netflix should save. Some of these picks aren’t very likely, but they could benefit by being seen by Netflix viewers around the world.

Why was MacGyver canceled?

MacGyver is one of the most recognizable names in TV. The reboot of the popular TV series from the 1980s premiered in 2016 on CBS.

So far, four full seasons have aired on the network, and a fifth season is nearly over. Unfortunately, the series will not be returning for season 6. It was canceled during the fifth season. The season and series finale will air on April 30, 2021.

Unfortunately, Netflix is unlikely to save MacGyver, but there’s no doubt that Netflix would be able to share this series with a bigger platform and possibly save the show.

I don’t think it’s going to happen, but we have to imagine that Netflix would have looked into the numbers and how much it would cost and benefit the streaming service.
