Monster Hunter is an action-adventure fantasy monster film based on the hit Capcom video game of the same name and many subscribers are wondering if the movie starring Milla Jovovich is available on the streaming powerhouse Netflix.

The feature has been in conception since 2012 with Paul W.S. Anderson writing, directing, and producing the entire affair. Principal photography for Monster Hunter began on Oct. 15, 2018, in Cape Town, South Africa, and was completed on Dec. 19, 2018.

The cinematic endeavor follows Jovovich’s character Lt. Artemis and her team of soldiers as they are magically transported into an alternate dimension filled with all kinds of dangerous monsters. When all hope seems lost, she finds some people from this new world and joins forces with them in an attempt to close the gateway to her home.

On Dec. 4, 2020, Monster Hunter debuted in theaters in China, and then on Dec. 19, 2020, it came out on the big screen in the United States. Critics praised the motion picture’s solid musical score, imaginative action sequences, and well-crafted visual effects, making it very understandable why many are eager to know if it’s on Netflix.

Is Monster Hunter available on Netflix?

As to whether or not Monster Hunter is available on the streaming service, the news is not ideal, to say the least. The wild action feature is not on Netflix.

While this isn’t great news at all for fans hoping to stream the film on the popular service, there are still plenty of other options that are similar to Monster Hunter available in the streaming powerhouse’s impressive library of titles. Movies like Bright, The Old Guard, Project Power, Jiu Jitsu, and Psychokinesis are just some of the exceptional options available on Netflix right now.
