Welcome to the weekend. Netflix has some great choices that you won’t want to miss for the weekend of April 10-11.

This weekend is a great time to kick back and relax with some of the top TV shows on the streamer. The month of April was a little light on the release of new shows, but there are some good ones to check out.

The Netflix Top 10 list has great choices like Ginny and Georgia, The Serpent and The Irregulars that have all been on the list for some time. If you haven’t checked them out yet, be sure to.

Best Netflix shows to watch

This is a Robbery: The World’s Biggest Art Heist

This Is a Robbery: The World’s Biggest Art Heist is a four-part series that looks into the most expensive art heist in history. The thieves successfully took $500m in art from the  Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston in 1990.

The Netflix original looks into this robbery that took place the day after St. Patrick Day when two men dressed as police officers entered the museum and made off with the works of art. As of today, no arrests have been made or any of the art pieces recovered.

This is truly one of the most interesting unsolved mysteries there is.

Family Reunion 

Season 2 of Family Reunion was released on April 5 and is already sitting on the Netflix Top 10 TV shows list.

The series follows the McKellan family when they travel from Seattle, WA, to Columbus, GA, and decide to move there to be closer to their family. The series is a comedic look at family life and all the ups and downs it entails.

Starring in the series is Tia Mowry, Anthony Alabi, Talia Jackson, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Cameron J. Wright, Jordyn Raya James and Loretta Devine.

It is good, clean fun for the whole family.

The Way of the Househusband 

This series might not be for everyone, but for fans of anime, The Way of the Househusband is something to be enjoyed. Netflix viewers are enjoying it as it is at number seven on the Top 10 TV shows list at the time of writing.

The story follows Tatsu, a retired yakuza boss whose nickname is “the Immortal Dragon.” He decides to stay home and become a househusband so that his wife Miku can continue her career. With a nickname like Immortal Dragon, you can imagine his appearance is somewhat intimidating. When he decides to become domestic as a househusband, it is quite a change for him.

This series is adapted from the Japanese manga series.

Gilmore Girls

How about a little early 2000 throwback? Gilmore Girls is a comedy-drama that ran for seven seasons and is still wildly popular today.

The story follows single mother Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel), who live in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. The series explores the many issues of the time, and that would affect a family.

The series had a great casting that included Melissa McCarthy, Keiko Agena, Scott Patterson, Yanic Truesdale, Kelly Bishop, Edward Herrmann, Liza Weil, Jared Padalecki, Milo Ventimiglia, Sean Gunn, Chris Eigeman and Matt Czuchry.

There is also the revival series Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life available on Netflix.

Hannibal

Fans of The Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon, Hannibal, and Hannibal Rising novels are sure to enjoy Hannibal the series.

This series focuses on the relationship between FBI special investigator Will Graham (Hugh Dancy and forensic psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen). We all know what becomes of Dr. Lecter, and this story shows how the doctor manipulated Graham and got inside his head.

The series has received excellent reviews from critics and viewers. Some of the lead actors have been singled out for their performances.

In addition to Dancy and Mikkelsen, the cast includes Caroline Dhavernas, Hettienne Park, Laurence Fishburne, Scott Thompson, Aaron Abrams and Gillian Anderson.
