Thunder Force is coming to Netflix tonight: April 9, 2021

Thunder Force, the Netflix original comedy, is coming to the streaming network on April 9, 2021. When Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer are paired up, we know we will be in for a load of laughs. Add in some superpowers, and you get a hilarious dynamic duo.

In the Netflix movie, Lydia (McCarthy) looks up her best friend from her youth to find out that Emily (Spencer) is a scientist who has developed a formula that gives people superpowers. Lydia accidentally gets injected and becomes super strong. Then we discover that Emily also has superpowers, hers being invisibility.

They live in Chicago, which is now under The King’s rule (Bobby Cannavale), a power-hungry politician, and his group, the Miscreants, who also process superpowers. Lydia and Emily must take on The King and his crew to save the city from their evil.

What time is Thunder Force on Netflix?

Thunder Force is a film written and directed by McCarthy’s husband, Ben Falcone, who also stars in a small role. The two have been featured in a few other movies together and make a great team.

Thunder Force will be available on April 9 at 12:01 a.m. PT. This could be very early morning or a very late night for some of you, so you may need to schedule a better time for viewing this movie.

The trailer gives us a look at the movie’s tone, and comedy reigns supreme, as you would expect. There are all the elements for a superhero story, but we see some real-life elements sneak in throughout the trailer. For instance, their suits that can’t just be thrown in the washing machine, those things must really stink. The ladies of Thunder Force must have a cool car, but that isn’t very convenient, as you can see. There are many other instances where they put in the real-life moments giving a humorous look at superhero life.

In addition to the above-mentioned stars, additional cast members include Tyrel Jackson, Pom Klementieff, Taylor Mosby, Melissa Ponzio, Sarah Baker, Shane Berengue, and Melissa Leo. There is also a very interesting crab character who Jason Bateman plays.
