While the narrative is much different and the Netflix original has far less action combat-wise than the HBO original, there are plenty of things the two have in common.

For one thing, the politics of royalty and the ones who serve them wheel serving their own agendas is the mayhem of choice for Bridgerton. There may not be a lot of gore or war sequences in the Netflix period piece, there is plenty of backstabbing, and there is blood on plenty of character’s hands.
