Greenland is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, and many subscribers are wondering if they will be able to find the exciting sci-fi thriller on Netflix.

The story of the movie follows a family’s desperate attempts to find sanctuary from a planet-destroying comet on a collision course with earth in the titular country. The film features Den of Thieves and 300 s Gerard Butler and Gotham and Deadpool star Morena Baccarin.

The film became one of the most rented films on Apple TV, FandangoNow, and Google Play. Greenland has received more critical acclaim than one would expect from a disaster flick, with the Chicago Sun-Times’ Richard Roper stating:

"“Unlike the typical, effects-laden, comet-threatens-the-planet B-movie, Greenland is more in the vein of Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds, with the scenes of chaos and destruction serving as the backdrop for the story of one family’s desperate quest for survival — even when circumstances have ripped them apart.”"

It’s no secret Greenland has outdone expectations and become a must-watch endeavor, and it’s no wonder many subscribers are eager to know if the well-received motion picture will be available on Netflix.

Is Greenland available on Netflix?

The news regarding whether or not the epic disaster flick with solid reviews isn’t necessarily a cataclysmic event, but it’s not very good either. Greenland is not available on Netflix, and it’s unknown at this time if that will ever change.

It doesn’t seem like Greenland has pledged allegiance to any streaming outlet yet, and the chances of it making its way to Netflix before the apocalypse comes are pretty good. Netflix never seems to disappoint when it comes to securing critically acclaimed content, and the chances of the sci-fi thrill becoming another superb addition to this streaming device’s library would be something subscribers would not complain about.

But subscribers should not be running for the hills as if a meteor is coming to destroy the world. There are plenty of other end-of-the-world options available on Netflix like Extinction, The Midnight Sky, 3022, Outside the Wire, and Skylines, just to name a few.
