I’ve gone through the list and picked out five movies on Netflix that speak to various genres and interests.

Insidious

The first of the month is a good time for third-party movies on Netflix to drop. One that pops out the most this month is the horror movie Insidious. It’s the first movie in the franchise, and arguably the best and scariest.

When Josh and Renai move into a new house, it’s supposed to be a fresh start. However, their son, Dalton, falls into a coma mysteriously and there’s no way to wake him up. After that, paranormal events start to occur, and it could all be connected to Josh and his past.

The movie is available on Thursday, April 1.

Concrete Cowboy

Need a bit more Idris Elba in your life? I get ya! The good news is one of the Netflix Original Movies is perfect for you. Concrete Cowboy is the one you want to watch.

It follows a teenager who is sent to live with his estranged father for the summer. Naturally, he wants nothing more than to head back home, but he realizes that there could be something good about the town. It is full of a tight-knit group of Black cowboys after all!

Thunder Force

Octavia Spencer and Melissa McCarthy star in the next option on our list of best movies on Netflix this month. It’s all about Thunder Force.

The two were childhood best friends who reunite to help fight crime. How can they possibly do that? One of them invents a formula that gives ordinary people superpowers, and they can become the ultimate team. Of course, bad people out there want that formula!

Stowaway

What do you think about movies that take place in space? That’s where we are for the next movie on the list starring Anna Kendrick, Daniel Dae Kim, Toni Collette, and Shamier Anderson.

Three astronauts head to Mars to help colonize the planet. It’s a mission they’ve all prepared for and are excited about. What happens when a fourth person has stowed away on the spaceship? More importantly, what happens when that fourth person stowed away unknowingly?

The three find a man knocked out on their ship. Of course, he wants to get back, but that’s much easier said than done.

If you’re anything like me, you want movies on Netflix that are suitable for the whole family. There’s some great news in April. The Mitchells vs. The Machines is the movie to check out.

Katie Mitchell, her parents, her brother, and their dog head on a road trip to begin her first year at film school. However, electronic devices around teh world start to come to life. The Mitchells will need to work together to protect the world from The Machines.
