Starring Charlton Heston and Yul Brynner, The Ten Commandments tells the story of Moses (Heston), an Egyptian Prince, who walks away from his privileged life in order to fulfill his divine mission of delivering his people to freedom.

With a run-time of nearly four hours, the film feels more like a miniseries by today’s standards which is perhaps why it’s only fitting it often hits the airwaves every Easter weekend via ABC.

Despite having been released more than 50 years ago in 1956, the film remains a cherished tradition and favorite for many generations with the film’s longevity often credited to the phenomenal performances from Heston and Brynner under the direction of legendary director Cecil B. DeMille.

The film is one of the most celebrated classics and a favorite among viewers around the Easter holiday, in particular, but is it available to stream on Netflix?
