4 best romantic spring break movies

1. To All the Boys: Always and Forever

To All the Boys: Always and Forever is a film so sweet, it’s sure to give you a cavity or two.

The romance film is about how the adorable Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky fight to keep their love strong even though the two are in a long-distance relationship. Between a spring break trip to Seoul and a slew of college acceptances/rejections, Lara Jean will get you all lovey-dovey as she remains hopeful that love surpasses all.

The best part about this film is that it isn’t the only time you’ll see Lara and Peter’s relationship. The first film To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and the second film To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You are both still available to watch on Netflix.

2. American Pie

No romantic spring break movie list is complete without the 1999 film American PieThis hysterical film will have you and your love laughing so hard that your bellies may bust.

It’s a movie full of awkward teenagers dedicated to losing their virginity, and you’ll be surprised at how much you can relate to this pubescent bunch. It’ll take you back to all the awkwardness of your high school years that you tried to forget, but could never escape from.

You’ll be reminded of all your “firsts” when you watch this film. Your first crush, your first love, and your first time eating American pie. A spinoff, American Pie: Girls Rule, is available on Netflix and is just as hilarious.

3. Spring Breakers

Okay, okay, so there is more crime in this film than love, but criminals can fall in love, too…with money that is. Here’s a quick synopsis of the film from Rotten Tomatoes:

"College students Candy (Vanessa Hudgens), Faith (Selena Gomez), Brit (Ashley Benson) and Cotty (Rachel Korine) are short of the cash they need for a spring-break trip, so they rob a diner and head down to Florida. However, the police soon break up the party and arrest them. The curvaceous quartet are unexpectedly bailed out by a drug dealer and aspiring rap artist named Alien (James Franco). Soon after, three of the four gal pals decide to join Alien in a life of crime."

With this cast of famous fresh faces like Selena Gomez and James Franco, you are sure to fall in love with this movie during your spring break.

4. 22 Jump Street

Bromance counts as romance, too.

The last film on our list, 22 Jump Street, is full of pals before gals as best buddies Jenko and Schmidt go undercover as students in the forever-tempting institution that is college. These detectives have to blend in with all the partying, drinking, and studying that college brings, while still remaining true to their profession and their friendship.

This film is a sequel to its older sibling, 21 Jump Street, and no matter which one you watch, these films are guaranteed to make that spring fling burst into laughter. Oh, and Magic Mike‘s Channing Tatum is in this movie; need I say any more?

Hopefully you’ll find some sort of love during your spring break, because with these movies love is definitely in the air.
