Fans of one of the most popular anime, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, can say goodbye to Dio Brando as Netflix removes yet another show from their platform this month.

When the first episode aired March 2012 in Japan, the anime quickly rose to popularity for its stylish characters, over-the-top fight sequences, and, undoubtedly, the immense array of memes that comes from the show’s famous protagonists, Joseph Joestar and Jotaro Kujo.

The moment Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure made its way to Netflix, the anime was well-received and thoroughly enjoyed by US fans, which makes it all the more confusing as to why most of the show’s seasons are included in the list of shows and films Netflix is removing this March 2021.

Why is Netflix removing Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure?

The streaming platform released a statement on their website as to why certain shows stay and certain shows go, stating that “some titles leave because of licensing agreements”. The statement then goes on to say that other factors such as cost and popularity also play a part in the removal of the show.

Fans believe that the biggest loss surrounding this show’s absence would be that Netflix was one of the few platforms, if not, the only platform where fans can legally and inexpensively watch the show’s first three parts. Now, all that’s left is one season of the anime.

Where can I watch Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure?

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is available on platforms like Hulu and Amazon, but the show, as stated before, won’t have all the perks that the show had on Netflix including English dubbing.

However, there may be a slight chance that Netflix keeps the show in its entirety.

The popular anime, Hunter x Hunter, was also scheduled to leave March 7, but remains intact to this day on the platform. Perhaps, there’s a chance that Jojo will be here to stay.

The only way to find out if Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure will stay is to wait until the end of the month.
