Princess Diana has been a cultural icon for decades, and for good reason. Diana was known for her charity work, charm, and sense of style. Once she married into the royal family, her life was the subject of intense media scrutiny, which ultimately led to her death on August 31, 1997. The early years of her marriage were recently dramatized in The Crown season 4.

Diana: In Her Own Words is a 2017 documentary that centers on recordings of Princess Diana that were used by writer Andrew Morton to pen his biography Diana: Her True Story. The documentary features archival footage of numerous key figures in the royal family, including Camilla Parker-Bowles, Prince Charles, Prince Harry, Queen Elizabeth II, Earl John Spencer, Prince William, and of course the one and only Princess Diana herself.
