Tom Hanks movies and shows

Superstar Tom Hanks is one of the most famous men in the world, yet Netflix hasn’t had the chance to collaborate with the actor just yet on any Netflix movies. He does appear in some archived footage in the Death to 2020 special, which makes sense since Hanks famously was one of the first prominent actors to announce that he had contracted COVID-19, but other than that the only other Netflix project he appears in briefly is a music documentary called Quincy about the music and culture icon Quincy Jones, but no starring roles in any original Netflix movies or shows.

He appears as himself to talk about Jones’s work. Several of Hanks’s films are available to watch on Netflix. If you want to get yourself in the holiday spirit, you can currently rewatch The Polar Express. The Da Vinci Code and its sequel Angels & Demons are also streaming on Netflix, as is the documentary The Pixar Story. Other than that, you’ll have to look elsewhere for more of the actor’s projects.

He recently collaborated with Apple TV+, who purchased his film Greyhound and released it on the streaming service. And of course, his iconic role as Woody in the Toy Story films can be viewed on Disney+. Hanks has several films lined up for the future, notably a live-action Pinocchio where he’ll play Geppetto and an untitled Elvis Presley project. So far, nothing is planned with Netflix.
