Horror movies on Netflix: March 13, 2021

So you’ve found many horror movies on Netflix, but aren’t sure where to begin? We’re here to help! This weekend’s edition of recommendations will feature older films that still hold up, and two hidden gems you may not yet have discovered.

This weekend sees a few new Netflix movies and shows premiering, but if you’re so over rom-coms and reality TV, we don’t blame you!

Sure, Netflix may, for the most part, cater to audiences who prefer to watch movies like To All the Boys and enjoy popcorn over the latest reality TV drama, but the streaming titan hasn’t forgotten about its horror fans.

All you need to do is search for one horror movie, just one, and you’ll find numerous options! Too many to count, too many to search through. Let’s just say you may lose a lot of time scrolling for something to watch.

Instead, why not quickly look at our top five recommendations? It’ll save you time and you may just discover your new favorite horror movie.

Best Horror movies on Netflix: His House

First on our list is His House!  This horror-thriller is relatively new. It’s a Netflix film that dropped on Jan. 27, 2020, but may have been missed (I know I missed it) among bigger features.

The premise is very chilling and unique. After watching the trailer, I have no idea what could be going on so this one is at the top of my list for the weekend!

His House follows a couple who are refugees from South Sudan. They went through hell and back on their journey to find help. But have they truly found it or are they in for a tougher challenge? The couple was assigned a home, which they find surprisingly generous. Soon, however, they learn there is something evil lurking in the home.
