Stranger Things season 4 is not coming to Netflix in March 2021

Stranger Things season 4 is in the works and progress is being made on the new season every day, but we know that’s not exactly what Stranger Things fans want to hear. We all want to know when Stranger Things season 4 is coming to Netflix.

Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a bit longer. Stranger Things season 4 is not coming to Netflix in March 2021.

Netflix announced the full list of Netflix new releases recently, and of course, Stranger Things season 4 was left off the list. If you’re paying attention, you know Stranger Things season 4 isn’t coming to Netflix in April 2021, either.

So, if not now, when? When is Stranger Things season 4 headed to Netflix?

When is the Stranger Things season 4 release date?

If you would have guessed a March 2021 release date for Stranger Things season 4 when Stranger Things season 3 premiered, you would have been close to right. Even when Stranger Things season 4 started production in 2020, it looked like season 4 was coming to Netflix in February or March of this year.

Unfortunately, the pandemic shut down production season 4 for about three-quarters of last year, and so, of course, the season 4 release date has been pushed back. How long? I’m guessing only a few people have an idea about that information, and the reason is because it’s still a fluid situation. The pandemic is still dragging on, and there’s always the possibility that production could be shut down again. Obviously, no one wants to see that happen, but I think we all can agree that the safety of the cast and crew should come first.

So, when will we see Stranger Things season 4 on Netflix? A strong argument can be made for later this year. As mentioned, production is ongoing and we’re getting closer and closer to the cast and crew wrapping production on season 4.

Based on rumors all over the internet, it sounds like filming is moving to New Mexico soon. We don’t know that to be true, but if so, that’s positive news!

As soon as production ends, we’ll have a much better idea when the new season hits Netflix. I think there’s a good chance it’ll be 2021. We’ve seen a number of big outlets mention that it’s expected that Stranger Things season 4 will be released in 2021, but Netflix has not confirmed that information.

If production drags or if there’s another big delay, the new season will likely be delayed until 2022. We’re really, really hoping that does not happen.

I really want to see Stranger Things season 4 released in November or December of 2021. I think that’s the perfect time to drop the new season. Fingers crossed that’s what happens.
