Season 1 of Superman and Lois is off to a soaring start, to say the least.

Of its debut season, the Rotten Tomatoes Critics Consensus notes that while the new series “may be a bit too grounded” for some viewers looking for something jam-packed with action, Superman and Lois “draws its strength” from “unexpected places” without “skimping on the action.” And we wouldn’t exactly argue with that take.

For those unfamiliar with the new CW series, here’s the premise.

What is Superman and Lois about?

Based on two beloved DC comic characters, this 2021 superhero drama takes Superman/Clark Kent and Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane back to Smallville where they plan to settle down and raise their family, come what may.

While learning to face the challenges of everyday life and coupledom, this dynamic duo is ultimately reminded of one thing in the superhero universe: the regular world is always in need of a superhero, especially Superman. Little do they know, dark forces are afoot that threaten to destroy all they hold near and dear, close, and secret. And there’s still so much left to figure out in terms of who they both really want to be and who they will always be.

Needless to say, Superman and Lois is probably going to end up being an unwittingly wild ride, and it’s just getting started.

Is Superman and Lois streaming on Netflix?

Superman and Lois is not on Netflix. It is an original series on The CW and is currently airing its first season. Unfortunately, the streaming giant and the network no longer have the same deal they once did, and so shows on The CW are typically now added to HBO Max for streaming. We’ll keep you updated once we know for sure where Superman and Lois is headed after wrapping up season 1.
