Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead trailer
From the synopsis, we know this film will be set in an apocalyptic setting where a huge outbreak has occurred in Las Vegas. A mercenary group decides it would be an amazing idea to rob a casino located in the quarantined city.
The trailer starts with the quintessential apocalyptic cityscape that is burnt out, destroyed, and abandoned. If you look quickly, you will see some movement in the center of the screen. It is quite visually appealing with the cast armed and ready, the casino atmosphere with zombified patrons, there’s even a zombie Elvis impersonator, explosions and a zombie horde that rivals World War Z.
The Netflix movie has a stacked cast featuring Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer, Hiroyuki Sanada, Nora Arnezeder, Garret Dillahunt and Tig Notaro.
This film will be followed by a prequel film that Schweighöfer will direct and also star in. There is also an anime spinoff series in the works, and this will follow Bautista’s character, Scott Ward.
