Is there going to be a season 5 of Stranger Things?

There is no denying that Stranger Things is one of the most popular shows Netflix has ever made, and many are very curious to know if there is going to be a season 5.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, The Duffer Brothers, the creator of the beloved Netflix original series, revealed that season 4 would not be the last and that Stranger Things season 5 is going to happen.

Sheriff Hopper, aka David Harbour, also mentions the fifth endeavor in an interview with Gold Derby where she had this to say on the matter:

"“I will tell you in Season 4 and in Season 5, if we’re ever able to film again, there is a lot to be revealed around the complexities of [Hopper’s] story, which is really rich, and I’m really excited for you to see. Because we know the ending, you’ll be able to go back and watch it and see, you know, what we were planting in Season 3 that paid off in Season 4 and Season 5.”"

Is Stranger Things season 5 the final season?

We’ve previously reported that there is a rumor that Stranger Things season 5 could very be the show’s farewell tour and serve as the final chapter of the show. There are also rumors that indicate that the show will split into two parts for its last hurrah.

Netflix has been known to change its minds when it comes to the final outing. Lucifer and The Crown got the go-ahead for more, so it’s not crazy to think that this rumor might be a trick from the Mind Flayer or some gossip out of the Upside Down.

Either way, there is no definitive answer at this time as to whether or not Stanger Things season 5 and nothing official has been putting out.

There is no official release date for Stranger Things season 5, and fans will have to be patient when waiting for any announcement to arrive. There is a good chance subscriber won’t know until after season 4 has aired, which doesn’t have a concrete premiere window either.
