Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead is coming to Netflix in May 2021

We have some exciting news for fans of Netflix, zombie movies, heist movies and Zack Snyder. His Netflix original film, Army of the Dead, is coming to Netflix soon.

The Netflix movie will intertwine the zombie genre with the heist genre, making for a fascinating storyline.

The Netflix movie also marks Snyder’s first foray back into the zombie genre, which will also mark his Netflix debut. He started his career with a remake of George Romero’s Dawn of the Dead in 2004.

He is also known for 300, Watchmen and his highly anticipated Zach Snyder’s Justice League set to release on HBO Max in March 2021.

When is Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead coming out?

Snyder took to Twitter to reveal a super cool poster for the movie, which also included the Army of the Dead release date on Netflix. Army of the Dead is coming to Netflix on May 21, 2021.

The poster shows us a vault door, cards, cash, dice, poker chips and zombie hands closed in the door.

Here’s the synopsis for the Netflix movie:

"Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted."

The zombie genre is always in high demand. Fans of the genre are always on the lookout for something new. The combination of zombies and heists will appeal to a wider audience.

This stacked cast features Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tig Notaro and Garret Dillahunt.

The movie was filmed in multiple locations in 2019, including the now-closed Atlantic Club Casino Hotel in Atlantic City.

In September 2020, it was announced the Army of the Dead would be followed by a prequel film and an anime series. Matthias  Schweighöfer will star in and direct the prequel film.
