The weekend is always a great time to relax and enjoy some binge-watching on Netflix. And it doesn’t matter what genre you are feeling this weekend; there are plenty of Netflix shows for you.

A couple of suggestions for Netflix original horror shows that have been very popular include The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor,  Stranger Things and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The Haunting anthology is one of my favorite of the Netflix original horrors, and the mysterious storylines will keep you hooked.

Netflix has a huge catalog of shows to make you nostalgic for days gone by. If, for example, you type “80s TV” in the search box, you will find all the choices from that era. It is fun to watch shows from your childhood.

Series that were released this week or had more episodes added include Amend: The Fight for America, Hello, Me!, MeatEater and Wheel of Fortune.

Below is a list of 5 best Netflix shows to catch this weekend

Behind her Eyes

This week Behind her Eyes was released on Netflix, and it is already sitting at number one on the Netflix Top 10 TV shows.

This limited series is based on a book of the same name that Sarah Pinborough wrote in 2017. The book had a sticker touting “the most shocking ending you’ll read all year.” The series is also keeping true to that claim.

There are six-hour-long episodes to this exotic thriller, and viewers on Netflix are here for it.

Good Girls

This series is a crime comedy-drama, and its third season was just released on Netflix. Good Girls follows a trio of mothers who get fed up with always having to try so hard to make ends meet, so they rob a supermarket.

The three friends Beth (Christina Hendricks), Ruby (Retta) and Annie (Mae Whitman), feel their only choice to provide for their families is through illegal means.  All have tried to overcome the hardships that have come their way only to fall short.

Also staring Reno Wilson, Manny Montana, Lidya Jewett, Isaiah Stannard and Matthew Lillard.

The series is compared to Breaking Bad, without the meth, in how the ladies feel that doing their crime is the only way to provide for their families.

The Crew

This is another series released this week and finds itself sitting on the Netflix shows Top 10 list. The Crew is set in a NASCAR garage where Kevin Gibson (Kevin James) is the crew chief.

After the owner of Bobby Spencer Racing, Bobby (Bruce McGill), hands over the reins to his daughter Catherine (Jillian Mueller), Kevin and his crew must adapt to the times to remain relevant in the racing world.

If you are a fan of James’s other sitcoms, this will be right up your alley.

Tribes of Europa

This is a sci-fi series set in the year 2074. Tribes of Europa is the story of three siblings living in dystopian Europe after a global catastrophe.

Europe has been split into micro-states or tribes. Liv and her siblings live in the Orange tribe, a peaceful tribe that lives off the land.

In 2029 “Black December” occurred and left the world in shambles. This series follows the siblings and their tribe as they try to remain peaceful in a world that isn’t. They acquire a cube that they hope will aid them in the war-torn world they live in.

If you like the sci-fi dystopian genre, you should check this one out.

Outlander

Outlander is based on a series of fantasy romance novels written by Diana Gabaldon. The series currently has four of its five seasons available on Netflix, and the series has been signed for a sixth.

This story follows Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) as she travels from the WWII era back in time to the year 1743, where she meets a dashing Highlander, Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). The story follows the two characters and their life together. It is a beautiful story of love, adventure, and romance.

The cast features some amazing actors, including Graham McTavish, Tobias Menzies, Sophie Skelton, Duncan Lacroix, Ed Speelers and Maria Doyle Kennedy, to name only a few of the outstanding cast members.

This series is a mix of genres, including historical fiction, fantasy, and romance, making it very appealing to many demographics of viewers. If you haven’t started this one, I recommend you do it now.

Have a fabulous weekend and enjoy some amazing choices for Netflix shows.
