What is Jake Johnson of Hoops and New Girl doing now?

Western-style adult animation tends to be a hit or a miss with audiences and, sadly, Jake Johnson’s Hoops didn’t make the long-term team on Netflix. But while the show has become one of the canceled Netflix shows, Johnson is still lending his television talents to numerous upcoming projects.

While Johnson’s in-development projects like Habata are being kept tightly under wraps, the actor is noted to be part of director Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World: Dominion, now in post-production.

Trevorrow says the film will be “a celebration of the whole franchise” and a “true ensemble,” with the stars of the original Jurassic Park films–Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum–starring alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Johnson will also be featured in Lionsgate’s Minx, now in post-production with director Rachel Lee Goldenberg and staring Johnson alongside Johnson, Michael Angarano (Sky High), Ophelia Lovibond (The Autopsy of Jane Doe). The film follows an earnest young feminist who joins forces with a low-rent publisher to create the first erotic magazine for women.
