What is Paul James of Soundtrack doing now?

Known for his roles in TV series such as Greek and The Last Ship, it was exciting to see Paul James break out in his acting career with the lead role in Netflix’s musical series Soundtrack, following the lives of multiple individuals and couples in Los Angeles on the look-out for love in the big city.

It was heartbreaking to see a feel-good, good-beat show get canceled after just one season, but it was also unfortunate that Soundtrack didn’t prove to be the long-lasting spotlight James has been due for and joined the archives of canceled Netflix shows.

On the upside, the actor has a few more projects in the release queue, from thrillers to comedies and even shorts. Giving us slight Rosemary’s Baby vibes, Seed of Doubt is a thriller directed by William J. Cox and starring James alongside Sarah Utterback and Naiyah D. Scaife.

The story follows a young couple, Melissa (Utterback) and Scott (James), as they settle into what seems like their dream home. But the dream quickly turns into a nightmare when the two take on new tenants to help with finances. As Utterback’s character slips deeper and deeper into paranoia, Scott must fight to save their unborn child.

James will also star in the comedy TV series I Love This For You where a woman overcomes childhood leukemia to achieve her dream of becoming an on-air host at a home shopping network. Lucas Elliot Eberl and Edgar Morais are also directing the short, We Won’t Forget, also starring Paul James with Whitney Able and John Patrick Amedori. The plot for this short has yet to be released.
