Walker season 2 release date, cast, synopsis, trailer and more

The CW’s reboot of Walker, Texas Ranger titled Walker starring supernatural star Jared Padalecki has been a hit with fans, so much so that many are hoping for news to arrive regarding what is happening with Walker season 2. The show changes things up from the original that starred super tough guy Chuck Norris, and the network’s viewers seem to enjoy this modern take to the point where more entries are deemed necessary.

Walker follows a widowed father played by Padalecki’s character who goes back to Austin attempting to reconnect children and family while navigating the relationship with his new partner. Soon after he arrives, he starts to begin to suspect that there may be something about the death of his wife, who is played by the actor’s real-life spouse Genevieve Padalecki in flashbacks.

The first episode of Walker was The CW’s most-watched telecast since January 2018 and also became the most-watched pilot since The Flash took home that honor back in 2017.  Between the exciting story and resounding success with viewers, it’s no question the demand for Walker season 2 is high.

According to Variety, the CW decided to renew several of its TV shows for new seasons, including Nancy Drew, Riverdale, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, Charmed, and more. One of the highlights of the announcement was the news that Walker season 2 was officially a go with more episodes on the way.

There was no mention of a release date for Walker season 2 when the renewal announcement was made, and it’s safe to assume that it will be a while before this mystery gets solved. There is a chance that, barring any setback, season 2 could arrive on The CW in late 2021 or 2022, but this is nothing but a speculative guess based on the usual separation between sets of episodes coming out.

Unlike Supernatural, you won’t be able to watch Walker on Netflix anytime soon.

There is no telling who will be in the next chapter of the CW, and nothing has been officially set in stone regarding who will make the lineup for Walker season 2. Padalecki seems to be a hit with fans in the cowboy role do it’s safe to assume he’ll return, and Genevieve will probably come back if there is a need for more flashbacks.

Lindsay Morgan, Molly Hagan, Keegan Allen, Violet Brinson, Kale Culley, and several other talented members of the well-casted roster will hopefully return in Walker season 2. Familiar faces and new personalities will most assuredly be in the mix for the next run, and fans will not want to miss a second of the action.

Until fans know how things will play out in the well-crafted first season of The CW reboot, there is no way to determine what could happen in Walker season 2. It’s anyone’s guess at this point about what the narrative could contain, and everyone will most likely have to it until much closer to the release date that is still unknown in order to figure out what Walker will be up to next time around.
