It’s Valentine’s weekend, and in a typical year, we would be making excellent plans to do something fun. Not this year. So, instead, make a delicious meal or some fun snacks and enjoy binge-watching some top Netflix shows.

There are many shows available on Netflix that are binge-worthy. Shows like Bridgerton, New Girl, Cobra Kai, You and Grey’s Anatomy.

If you prefer some cult classic type shows, try Twin Peaks, The IT Crowd, The Twilight Zone, Jericho, or the original Star Trek series.

One series that I will give an honorable mention is Requiem. This series is a six-part Welsh television drama that originally aired in 2018. This series is a thriller with supernatural elements thrown in. Be sure to check it out.

Below is a list of the best Netflix shows to stream right now

Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel

This series is number one on the Netflix Top 10 TV series. The Cecil Hotel mystery revolves around the disappearance of Elisa Lam, a 21-year-old Vancouver native.

The Cecil Hotel was known for attracting addicts and criminals, including serial killer Richard Ramirez aka The Night Stalker.

USA Today reports that the hotel’s general manager from 2007-2017, Amy Price, estimates that there were about 80 deaths during her time as manager. There were suicides, overdoes, and murders, making her wonder if any of the rooms hadn’t seen a death.

It is a thrilling ride of a series that looks into the mystery behind The Cecil Hotel and Lam’s disappearance.

The Sinner

Although The Sinner aired its first season on USA Network in 2017, the release of its third season on Netflix has it back on the Netflix Top 10 TV series list.

This series currently has three seasons with a fourth on the way. Each season follows detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) as he investigates a new person of interest. The seasons are named after each of the people Ambrose investigates.

The first season follows Cora (Jessica Biel), who is being investigated for stabbing a man. The second entitled Julian (Elisha Henig), confessed to poisoning a couple. In the third, Jamie (Matt Bomer), Ambrose investigates an accident that uncovers something much more significant.

Ambrose appears in each season, with the rest of the cast changing for the new season’s story.

Personally, I started this one, and it is very well done and highly addictive.

iCarly

Who doesn’t love iCarly? It is a fun and silly escape from everyday life. This teen sitcom originally aired on Nickelodeon from 2007-2012.

Teenager Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove) starts her own web show with her friends Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and Freddie (Nathan Kress). She lives in an apartment with her brother Spencer (Jerry Trainor) in Seattle.

The web show becomes immensely popular, and the series follows the friends while they navigate teen life while experiencing newfound fame.

It is fun for the family series that has been enjoyed for years. In 2020 it was announced that Paramount+ had ordered a revival of the series with Cosgrove, Kress and Trainor returning to revive their characters.

Blown Away

New episodes for the competition series, Blown Away are now available on Netflix. In its second season, this series pits master glassblowing artists against one another in challenges for the chance to win $60,000.

Like all competition shows, this series brings together talented crafters; in this case, they are glassblowers. And, the look into this form of artistry is mind-blowing. It is an art form that is meticulous and physically demanding.

The contestants are given challenges and judged on their expertise, and each episode sees the elimination of one contestant until the champion is named.

The Walking Dead

This series has been running for 10 seasons and will conclude with its 11th season, which is currently being filmed. Seasons 1-9 are available to view on Netflix now with no news about when the 10th season will be available.

Fans of this series binge it often and repeatedly. If you have never watched this series but enjoy the apocalyptic-themed series, this is a great one to binge.

Have a great weekend and enjoy something extraordinary with Netflix shows.
