Throughout the first two To All the Boys movies, Lara Jean and Peter have never gone all the way. Did that change in To All the Boys 3?

We’ve watched Lara Jean and Peter fall in love, break up, and make some difficult choices. Throughout the first two movies, though, Peter has always respected Lara Jean in the sense that he’s never pressured her into sleeping together.

There are times that I don’t like Peter, but this is one of those cases where he shows how to be a good boyfriend—and a good guy in general. Would things change in the third movie?

It’s understandable to wonder this, especially considering this is the last movie in the series (for now). However, there is some bad news for those who wanted to see Lara Jean and Peter take the next step.

Lara Jean wants to sleep with Peter at prom in To All the Boys 3

There is a moment where we think it might happen. After prom, Lara Jean invites Peter into the house. Sure, it’s after curfew, but they’ll just have to avoid getting caught so Peter won’t see Dan’s disappointed face.

That’s when Lara Jean tries to sleep with Peter. She’s sure about it, but it’s Peter who stops her.

He wants to understand why now. Yeah, it’s the “prom thing” for couples, but Peter feels like something is off. It doesn’t feel right for him, and he needs to get to the bottom of it.

This is the moment the two break up!

In the end, Peter realizes he’s made a mistake. He wins Lara Jean back (not that it took a lot of work to win her back) and the two get back together by the end of the movie.

That’s when they end up sleeping together. Lara Jean and Peter head back to her house at the very end where it finally happens.
