To All the Boys 3 wrapped up the story of Lara Jean and Peter (for now!). Did it end with our favorite high school couple getting married?

Throughout three movies, we’ve watched Lara Jean and Peter figure out their relationship. It started as one of friendship with a fake relationship thrown in there. That fake relationship turned into a real one.

Okay, so there are some of us who think LJ would have possibly chosen John Ambrose during the second movie, but she didn’t. She picked Peter, and the third movie saw Lara Jean figure out if a long-distance relationship could work.

Most YA rom-coms end with the promise of marriage, right? All the best ones seem to do, anyway. So, would that be the way To All the Boyswould end?

How does it end for Lara Jean and Peter in To All the Boys 3?

LJ had to figure out whether to choose her relationship with Peter over the college of her heart. Had she got into Stanford, maybe things would have been different. LJ’s dreams of going to college together, getting married, and buying a house together may have worked out.

In the end, she chose NYU. LJ fell in love with New York City (and it was also the best place for her career aspirations), and she had to put herself first, even if that meant a long-distance relationship.

Then things turned sour. On prom night, the two broke up.

That’s right. LJ and Peter were no more with 30 minutes of the movie left to go.

But there was a wedding! Didn’t LJ and Peter get married?

Whose was the wedding in To All the Boys: Always and Forever?

It wasn’t Peter and Lara Jean’s wedding during the movie. Instead, it was her dad’s wedding. It was just a lowkey one, but one that all three of his daughters were happy about.

During the wedding, Lara Jean and Peter do get back together. They decide to give their long-distance relationship a chance. Maybe there’s a small hint of marriage in there, but there are a few years for that.
