When is Bridgerton season 2 coming out?

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to wait quite a while for Bridgerton season 2.

The series was rumored to have been renewed for season 2 prior to the release of season 1, and it was slated to start season 2 production sometime in 2020. Production was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Production is scheduled to begin on Netflix in the spring of 2021, according to Netflix. Hopefully, that will happen.

Even if it does, it’s unlikely that we will get to see Bridgerton season 2 on Netflix this year. It takes a long time to film and do post-production on a series like this. And, as we’ve mentioned many times before this, there is usually a pretty lengthy gap between the end of production and the release date on Netflix. Generally, it’s about six months from when filming wraps until we see a new season released on Netflix.

I’d expect something similar with Bridgerton. This is a big show with a lot of moving parts and filming during the pandemic is going to cause some issues for the cast and crew.

I’m expecting to see Bridgerton season 2 sometime in 2022 on Netflix. I know that’s a bummer for fans to have to wait that long, but there’s not much anyone can do about it. The safety of the cast and crew should be paramount.
