One on One is an aughts classic that aired from 2001-2006. The sitcom follows Flex Washington’s (Flex Alexander) sudden custody of his daughter Breanna Barnes (Kyla Pratt).

Previously, Breanna was used to only seeing her father two weeks out of the year. But when her mother Nicole Barnes (Tichina Arnold) gets a job in Nova Scotia, Breanna requests to live in Baltimore with Flex instantly making him a full-time father. Used to being the cool dad and a best friend to his daughter, Flex has to learn how to balance his desire to be there for his daughter and be a responsible parent as well as his bachelor lifestyle which has to change with her full-time presence in his life.

Excited to finally be living with her NBA player-turned-sportscaster father, Breanna leaps at this new opportunity. With her best friend Spirit Jones (Sicily Sewell) and Arnaz Ballard (Robert Ri’chard), Breanna gets up to comical mischief and relationship drama as they navigate high school, their social lives, and the music world. In the last season, the series moves on to college life.

One on One deals with issues of teen pregnancy and sexual exploration.
