What is The Sinner season 3 about?

Based on the novel of the same name by Petra Hammesfahr, The Sinner is an anthology crime drama that initially premiered on USA Network in 2017. Although initially conceived as a mini-series, it was so well received that the network decided to continue with more installments.

In the third season, Ambrose is called to the scene of a car accident. Nick Haas (Chris Messina) and Jamie Burns (Matt Bomer) were in the car, but only Jamie survived. Although Jamie claims that Nick’s death was accidental, his statement is suspicious to Ambrose. According to Express, Jamie grows increasingly psychotic, ultimately forcing Ambrose to make a difficult decision. The season ends with Ambrose reflecting on and regretting his actions.
