Orange Is the New Black: Alex and Piper

I’m still scratching my head at how Alex and Piper even got to the point of getting married. Orange Is the New Black started because Alex was willing to turn Piper in after years of Piper getting away with a crime.

Sure, a criminal shouldn’t get away with things, but that doesn’t mean Piper should just forgive her ex for getting her caught.

Yes, there was chemistry. Yes, people can be sorry for their actions. Maybe many of us should learn to forgive and move on more. But there is still a lot wrong when one half of the couple is always going to look out for themselves rather than the person they supposedly love.

I wouldn’t trust Alex as far as I could throw her.

Riverdale TV couples: Archie and Veronica

“Varchie” is one of those ships that has a lot of passionate people. It is also one of those ships that people want to see come to an end. I’m one of the latter.

There is everything wrong with this Riverdale couple. It doesn’t help that they’re both teens. Nor does it help that they both had a lot of emotional baggage before they even met. Yet, they haven’t grown from that, and it’s no wonder that they don’t quite work because of that.

Archie hasn’t dealt with the trauma from the past, including being groomed by his teacher. However, Veronica is problematic in the sense that she’s not even willing to stand up to her dad whenever he torments Archie. The teenage hormones will have a lot to do with this, but Veronica has way too many daddy issues.

We also need to consider how their relationship involves no communication at all. TV couples need to talk and listen. Varchie doesn’t do that at all.
