Netflix adding 16 new movies and shows this week
A new week is here and while we’re still very much still in a pandemic, there are lots of new movies and shows coming to Netflix to keep us entertained and away from negative thought-spirals. This week, there’s the final movie in a very popular Netflix rom-com trilogy, a new baking series, and a new reality show following a family who run a funeral home together.
The time has finally come for all the teen romance lovers out there! The final film in the All the Boys trilogy (we don’t get enough romance trilogies) is here this week. To All the Boys: Always and Forever hits Netflix on Friday, Feb. 12.
The movie follows Lara Jean as she prepares to graduate from high school with her boyfriend, Peter Kavinsky. But Peter wants them to go to Stanford together. At first, she agrees but after she starts traveling around the world, she begins to realize there might be more out there for her than just Standford. How will that affect their relationship? We’ll have to watch and see!

Looking for something to fill the void of the Great British Baking Show? Luckily, one of the winners of the series now has her own show. Nadiya Hussain, winner of GBBO in 2015, can now be seen in Nadiya Bakes when the first season comes to Netflix on Friday, Feb. 12.
This week brings To All the Boys 3, Nadiya Bakes and Buried by the Bernards to Netflix
Nadiya bakes everything from cakes to bread and everything in between, and this time doesn’t have judges standing over her shoulder. This looks like just the thing to help us all calm down after a hectic day.

Or maybe you’re in the mood for something a little more morbid? If so, Netflix’s latest reality show might be right up your alley. Buried by the Bernards also hits Netflix on Friday, Feb. 12, and follows the Bernard family as they run R. Bernard Funeral Services together.
They provide funeral packages at affordable prices to help those who can’t afford the often very expensive costs of having a funeral. But, since this is a family, there’s also plenty of in-fighting, drama, and love. Based on the trailer, there’s also lots of morbid humor you might not expect from a show about a funeral home!

This week also brings season 1 of Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel on Wednesday, Feb. 10. If you’re a true crime fan, this is for you! The series covers the story of Elisa Lam’s disappearance from the hotel and ultimately, her murder. The hotel grew in infamy from that moment on. Season 5 of American Horror Story even took some inspiration from this real-life story.
