1. Outlander

Based on the best-selling novels by Diana Gabaldon, Claire Randall travels back in time from the post-World War II 1940s to 1743, where she finds her heart-mate, Jamie Fraser. Can their love weather the test of time and the ultimate long-distance relationship when Claire returns back to her time? Will she find a way to be reunited with Jamie?

There are six seasons of Outlander so far. The fourth season was recently released on Netflix in time for 2021 Valentine’s Day binging.

2. Bridgerton

The wildly popular first season of Bridgerton was based on The Duke and I, the first book in the Bridgerton historical romance series of novels by Julia Quinn. (Subsequent seasons will be based on the other books in the series.)

When Daphne Bridgerton suddenly finds her brother’s well-intentioned but overbearing ways have scared away potential suitors, she forms a scheme with the dashing, charming and much sought after Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings. If he’s interested in her, “marriage-minded mamas” will leave him alone, while at the same time inspiring other men to compete for Daphne’s interest. But will their plan backfire?
