Are you looking for a spooky weekend? Netflix is the streaming service to turn to! We are sharing the top five horror movies to stream this weekend for some serious scares.

There is plenty of new content to stream this weekend. From a new episode of WandaVision for Marvel fans to enjoy over at Disney Plus, to a new big feature film, The Little Thingson HBO Max. But while The Little Things may provide some thrills, it may not cut it for horror fans.

This is why we love Netflix! The variety of content the streaming king offers continues to be unmatched! Netflix has mastered many genres, including horror, and it has plenty of frightening features available to watch.

In fact, there are so many horror movies available on Netflix, that it’s easy to get lost in the many options. That’s why we are happy to help by bringing your our top five suggestions. This week, we are highlighting horror movies that feature familiar faces and one frightening foreign horror to watch.

Good horror movies on Netflix this weekend: Jan. 30-31

1. The Blackcoat’s Daughter

Don’t let this one slip! The Blackcoat’s Daughter is a movie that was released in 2015 and, for the most part, went unnoticed. But leave it to Netflix to give the horror film another chance at life!

If you are a fan of the streaming service (and horror in general), you may recognize the main cast, which includes Emma Roberts  (American Horror Story) and Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina).

The Blackcoat’s Daughter follows two girls who are left behind at an all-girls boarding school with an unknown, evil presence haunting them.

2. The Boy

Another familiar face you are sure to recognize is Lauren Cohan from The Walking Dead. She stars as an American woman who takes on nanny duties for an English family. She’s escaping a past she wants to forget, but the home she is now staying at will present new horrors for her that she won’t soon forget.

3 and 4: Creep and Creep 2

Most of us are too busy these days to keep up with new shows, even if they are horror. This is why we prefer sticking with movies for a quick scare. But if you find yourself with time this weekend, why not a double feature?

Booth Creep and its sequel Creep 2 are available on Netflix for you to watch back-to-back. If you want a movie that’ll keep you on your toes, this is the movie to watch with many jump scares sure to “creep” you out.

5. Under the Shadow

As always, this list can’t be complete without an amazing foreign horror recommendation! This week, we suggest you watch Under the Shadow, a movie from 2016 with an amazing 99% fresh score at Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie follows a woman who believes there are supernatural forces in her apartment building and they are trying to possess her young daughter, Dorsa.
