In case you missed it, the second season of the all-star series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous dropped on Netflix last week. The Netflix original series is set in the same universe as the Jurassic Park franchise. It features the voices of Jameela Jamil, Glen Powell, Jenna Ortega, Raini Rodriguez, and Stephanie Beatriz. Beyond that, it is written by Marvel screenplay writer Zack Stentz and produced by one of the most renowned directors in the world, Steven Spielberg.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous follows six teenagers who were invited to explore a dinosaur adventure camp called Camp Cretaceous— that’s where the title comes from. Like all Jurassic stories, while they are visiting, the dinosaurs escape from their enclosures and the teenagers are set off in a distressed panic.

This family show is loads of fun; it is filled with impressive action sequences and just a sprinkle of violence. But above all of it, it celebrates the importance of friendship and team-building, teaching its younger viewers an important message of sticking together.

Dragonheart: Vengeance is a newer fantasy film, released in 2020. Much like Jurassic World, it exists in a universe of its own, the Dragonheart franchise. The first Dragonheart movie came out in 1997 and is considered to be a cult-classic. Afterward, four related movies followed: three prequels and one sequel. These other movies aren’t required viewing to enjoy Dragonheart: Vengeance even though it’s technically the third movie in the series.

This stand-alone movie follows a young man named Lukas as he embarks on a quest to avenge the death of his parents. Dragonheart: Vengeance is very insightful and has many wondrous views of dragons and the Dragonheart fantasy world. It is a must-watch for those with a lively imagination and a love for fables.
