During the COVID-19 pandemic, Netflix is still adding new movies and shows week after week. Even with all the recent Netflix renewals like Bridgerton and more, there are Netflix shows from 2020 still waiting on a renewal.

On the bright side, these Netflix shows haven’t been canceled. The streaming network has kind of earned an unfair reputation of canceling popular shows. While some Netflix shows have been canceled, Netflix has also renewed a lot of shows for multiple seasons and given orders to shows that other networks passed on.

Usually, Netflix waits about a month or two before they announce a renewal or cancellation. That gap between release and renewal has gotten quite a bit wider lately and during the pandemic. I’m assuming that’s just because there is so much uncertainty in the industry right now.

Below, we shared a list of six Netflix shows that are still waiting on that renewal.

Is On My Block renewed for season 4?

On My Block season 3 premiered on Netflix in March 2020, and since then, fans have been waiting to see if Netflix would renew On My Block season 4.

It’s been almost a full year since the third season premiered, and sadly, fans are still waiting to find out if On My Block season 4 is happening of if the show is canceled. There were rumors that On My Block was renewed for season 4 in 2020, but still, the creative team have not commented on the upcoming season.

Based on how the third season ended, it seems like there’s a plan in place for the fourth season. It’s just a matter of if it will happen or not.

Likely, the COVID-19 pandemic has interrupted any plans for Netflix to make season 4. That’s probably why we still don’t know if the show is returning or not. That’s the only thing that makes sense at this point.

My guess is that On My Block season 4 will happen, but it’s likely that it won’t be released on Netflix anytime soon. We should find out more about On My Block season 4 soon, especially as more movie and TV productions start to happen. There are a bunch of things filming right now, but there are limited resources to spread around right now because of the pandemic.
