See Stranger Things star Dacre Mongomery as X-Men’s Wolverine

Hugh Jackman has put the claws down and will no longer play Wolverine in upcoming X-Men and Marvel movies. That leaves a huge role uncast in one of Hollywood’s most popular franchises. It should be filled by Stranger Things star Dacre Montgomery.

There’s been speculation that Montgomery could be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe for years.

Recently, Montgomery was rumored to be in consideration to play Human Torch in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.

All the speculation makes sense. Montgomery is a star in the making, and he just needs the stage and role to truly emerge as a global superstar. Wolverine would definitely be a role that could do that!

The image, above, isn’t new by any means, but it’s still fun to speculate and imagine Montgomery, one of the most talented actors of his generation, as Wolverine.

As things stand, no decisions about Montgomery’s role in future MCU movies has been confirmed. It’s basically all fan speculation and hope at this point, but as they say, stranger things have happened. Fans have willed actors and actresses into roles before, and I’m hopeful that something could happen.

Most recently, Montgomery starred in Stranger Things season 3 as Billy Hargrove. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out the way that Billy fans would hope.

There’s still speculation that Montgomery could return for Stranger Things season 4 in some capacity. I hope it happens… unless he’s busy in the MCU while production is happening.

We’ll keep you posted on Montgomery’s future in the MCU and other big movies and shows. It’s only a matter of time before we see the Stranger Things star in something again soon.
