Netflix shows like Fate: The Winx Saga – 5. October Faction

The Burned Ones are the monsters that terrorize the magical realms in Fate: The Winx Saga, but in October Faction–an adaptation of the comic series by Steve Niles with Damien Worm–all kinds of supernatural creatures hide in plain sight in the human world.

As members of the secret organization, Presidio, Fred and Deloris Allen are monster hunters keeping humanity safe while maintaining the appearance of leading a normal life. Those appearances begin to flag, however, when they and their kids have to return to Fred’s family estate upon his father’s death.

Twins, Geoff and Viv, are tired of moving around all the time, but it comes with the territory of being their parents’ children. Nothing about Barrington-on-Hudson excites the twins, but they’re about to find out that the boring lives they thought their parents led are not only fabrications but also they’re not as normal as they think. At least not to other teens without powers who think monsters are about as real as the fake blood spilling from the latest scream queen.

October Faction is available to stream. The series was not picked up for a second season.

Netflix shows like Fate: The Winx Saga – 6. The Order

Nothing says college like a secret society. It’s not often the stuff of legend but of whispers and hearsay. But that’s not the case in the horror drama, The Order.

Jack Morton is a freshman at Belgrave University. College is a new world for anyone who steps foot on campus but maybe not as new for those who aren’t pledging to a secret society. Jack’s world is blown open as he seeks to join the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose, an organization of magic practitioners.

But magic isn’t the only thing sweeping through campus undetected by those unaware that werewolves also walk amongst them. The Knights of Saint Christopher have sworn to eliminate all magic wielders who strive to master the dark arts.

Caught between both worlds, Jack has his own secrets to contend with along with a battle that will put allegiances and relationships to the test.

The Order season 1 and 2 are available to stream. The series was not picked up for a third season.
