Netflix movies: 6. Wine Country

Why so serious, right? Let’s take it back to the basics with Wine Country. This Amy Poehler-led comedy follows a group of middle-aged women as they venture out to Napa to celebrate their friend’s 50th birthday. The BFFs get into tons of ridiculous antics as they try hard to distract themselves from their own life problems and clashing quirks.

This movie stars some of America’s funniest women, many of which were prominent cast members from two of the most popular sketch comedy television shows Saturday Night Live and Mad TV. The cast of Wine Country includes; Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, and Tina Fey.

With a cast that funny, it’s impossible to not LOL. Wine Country is a feel-gooder for people of all ages. It goes down like a perfect glass of wine: smooth and just sweet enough.

Netflix movies: 7. Superbad

Throwing it back to 2007, Superbad follows two childhood best friends in their senior year of high school. Evan and Seth are played by Michael Cera and Jonah Hill, two actors who can flawlessly display the awkwardness of these two outcasts. The movie has a sophomoric sense of humor, not being afraid to venture into the realm of immaturity and silliness.

Netflix describes this movie as:

"Hoping to have sex before college, high school seniors Seth and Evan try to score booze for a huge party, leading to a series of misadventures."

Superbad combines the tale of a goofy bromance with the unattainable idea of what it means to be cool in high school.
