See Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard in Ghostbusters: Afterlife

A new image from Ghostbusters: Afterlife has been released featuring Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard, according to a report from Digital Spy.

Empire Magazine shared the exclusive images from the upcoming movie. We shared the image below from Jason Reitman’s Instagram.

For those who don’t know, Wolfhard stars in Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which is scheduled to be released on June 11, 2021. We don’t know if that release date will stick given the current state of the world with the COVID-19 pandemic, but we’re hoping we get to see the Stranger Things star in something soon, whether is Stranger Things season 4 or Ghostbusters.

Reitman directed the movie. He’s best known for his work on Thank You For Smoking, Juno, and more. Reitman is also the son of original Ghostbusters director, Ivan Reitman.

As the Instagram post notes, Wolfhard is rocking some long hair! As a proud member of the Hopefully, that carries over to Stranger Things season 4 and we get to see some more locks when he’s playing Mike Wheeler.

In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Wolfhard stars as Trevor, the brother of Grace. The pair move back to their grandfather’s old home, and they are thrust into the world of ghosts!

As things stand, production on Stranger Things season 4 is ongoing. We don’t know when it’s going to end, but we’re hoping that things are all wrapped and ready for post-production by the spring of 2021.

If that happens, we could be looking at a late 2021 release date for Stranger Things season 4. And, if that happens, we’ll get to see Wolfhard two of the biggest movies and TV shows of 2021 in Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Stranger Things season 4.
