Tiger King’s Joe Exotic not pardoned on President Trump’s final day

Tiger King star Joe Exotic not pardoned by President Trump
Tiger King was one of the most popular shows on Netflix last year. Everyone watched the documentary series about Joe Exotic and his exploits.
Joe Exotic is currently serving a 22-year sentence for his role in a plot to kill Carole Baskin, the owner of a wildlife reserve in Florida.
According to a report from the New York Post, Joe Exotic and his legal team were expecting to be pardoned by President Donald J. Trump on his last day in office on Jan. 19, 2021.
The report claims the legal team was so confident that Joe Exotic would be pardoned by President Trump and they had a limousine waiting to pick up Joe Exotic from prison.
As it turns out, Joe Exotic did not receive a pardon from President Trump. While Trump pardoned more than 100 people, Joe Exotic was not on the list.
I have no thoughts or commentary on this turn of events.
There are a few Tiger King shows in the works at other networks. The show was such a hit for Netflix, and other networks are trying to cash in on this wild story.
I know there are others who want to see a continuation of Tiger King on Netflix. There’s definitely more to the story. It’d be interesting to catch up with the other people who were featured in the documentary series and see what they’ve been doing since all of this played out.
As of right now, there are no plans for a Tiger King season 2 at Netflix. We’ll just have to wait and see if Netflix makes another season of the Netflix original documentary series in the future. We have seen a number of Netflix docs get follow-up stories, including Making a Murderer, which was also very popular on Netflix way back when it premiered.
