When is the Riverdale season 5 premiere?

It’s been a long time, but we get to see Archie, Betty, Jughead, Veronica, Jughead, Cheryl, Toni, and the rest of the Riverdale gang tonight! Riverdale season 5 premieres on The CW at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021.

“Chapter Seventy-Seven: Climax” was going to be the 20th episode of season 4, but because of the pandemic, production was suspended and delayed. Season 4 ended a few episodes early, and now, season 5 begins right where season 4 ended.

In the season 5 premiere, Archie, Veronica, Betty and Jughead are going to the prom!

In two episodes, we’re also getting a major time jump. We’re following these characters into adulthood and seven years into the future. It’s going to add a new dynamic to the series that, I think, will take this story in a whole new direction. I can’t wait to see what happens.

If you like outside of the United States, you can watch the Riverdale season 5 premiere on Thursday, Jan. 21. New episodes will be added to the streaming service the day after they air on The CW in the US.

Riverdale season 5 will not be on Netflix US anytime soon, unfortunately. Although people who live outside the US can watch new episodes on Netflix the day after they are on The CW, Netflix US subscribers will have to wait until the full season airs on The CW before the new season hits Netflix US.

That’s because the series airs on The CW in the US, and the network has the rights to those episodes until they turn over to Netflix eight days following the season finale airs on The CW.

Right now, it looks like the season 5 finale will air in late summer, like July or August. Eight days after the finale, Riverdale season 5 will be added to Netflix US.
