As far as competition shows go, Survivor really sets the bar high. As of January 2021, the TV series has had 40 seasons and almost 600 episodes. That’s some serious longevity! The show follows a group of strangers on an isolated island as they fight to win games, make shelter, and find food for themselves.

As of right now, there are two seasons of Survivor available to watch on Netflix. After some snooping on Wikipedia, I’ve discovered that the seasons in question are season 20, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, which aired in 2010, and season 28, Survivor: Cagayan, which aired in 2014.

Are more seasons of Survivor being added to Netflix?

I hate to be anticlimactic, but it doesn’t look like more seasons of the hit reality series will be coming to Netflix anytime soon. However, there are plenty of competition shows on the streaming platform in case you’re really craving some drama. I would recommend checking out Blown Away, The Big Flower Fight, The Circle, Instant Hotel, Ink Master, Ultimate Beastmaster, or The Great British Baking Show.

Fun fact about my alma mater, Emerson College: my good friends Jacob Falberg and Charlie Welling actually produced several seasons of a series they dubbed Survivor: Boston, which followed college students as they competed in physical challenges, collected idols, solved puzzles, and strategized. Several of my friends participated in the show over the course of its run and it looked like a really fun experience!
