What happens to Lara Jean and Peter in the To All the Boys 3 book?

To All the Boys 3 will be on Netflix before you know it and you’ll have the definite answer. But how does the book end? Do Lara Jean and Peter end up together?

It should go without saying that we’re spoiling the book in this post. If you’re trying to avoid them until you see the movie (or you get to the end of the third book yourself), then you’ll want to skip this post.

You’re likely here, though, because you want to know that To All the Boys 3 will end with our favorite not-a-couple-turned-couple together for good. You want to go through this movie with some sort of knowledge there will be a happy ending.

Of course, we don’t know how the movie will adapt the book. Considering the way the previous two books have been adapted, we’re sure To All the Boys 3 will end the way the book does.

How does it end for Lara Jean and Peter in To All the Boys 3?

In the novel, Always and Forever, Lara Jean, LJ is excited to be going to the same college as her boyfriend, Peter. However, she’s rejected, and that means she and Peter will need to decide whether they should try a long-distance relationship or give it all up.

It’s a subject that many high school sweethearts need to talk about. Not all long-distance relationships work, but some of them can. LJ and Peter decide they will give theirs a try.

However, LJ gets drunk one night and breaks up with Peter. It doesn’t help that Peter’s mom has asked her to break up with him for a freshman year without drama. Ouch!

LJ even tells him that she wanted to sleep him with the last time just to wrap things up neatly. Peter is heartbroken. Talk about a freshman year without drama.

That’s it. That’s how it ends…

Psyche!

I know; you all screamed then. Those who have read the books will have also hated the fact that I missed out the end to this amazing book series.

You see, LJ realizes the mistake she’s made. At the very end of the book, she apologizes to Peter and they get back together.

They will try to make this long-distance relationship work.

And that is where we leave it. We don’t know if they end up married with kids, but they are both in it to make it work by the end of To All the Boys 3.

That’s a really condensed version of the story, by the way.

The good news, though, is there’s absolutely no love triangle like there was in To All the Boys: P.S. I Love You.

To All the Boys 3 is on Netflix on Feb. 12, 2021.
