We’re still in a little bit of a lull for new Netflix shows and movies. The pandemic slowed production down all of last year, basically, so while we’re seeing new shows and movies on Netflix, most of the big projects are coming later in 2021.

1. Stranger Things

It’s been a long time since we saw Stranger Things season 3, the newest season of the most popular Netflix show so far. So why are we recommending the series right now?

Well, there’s no particular reason, but Stranger Things is back in the news this week after a pretty good stretch of no big news.

Notably, there is a Stranger Things season 4 release date rumor making waves online. Basically, a sceenshot was posted online of a possible release date on Aug. 21, 2021 This hasn’t been confirmed by Netflix or anything, so take it with a grain of salt.

We’re hoping to see Stranger Things season 4 later this year, but August might be a little early. Production, as far as we know, is continuing in early 2021, and we don’t know when exactly production will end.

In addition, there’s a new Stranger Things book in the works. Rebel Robin by AR Capetta is coming in June 2021. The novel tells a story about Robin Buckley, played by Maya Hawke, who starred and became a fan favorite in Stranger Things season 3.
